Super Simple Snack Series: Granola and Rice Milk


Granola & Rice Milk

Everyone was tired this afternoon, so we skipped our Wednesday swim team day, which is always optional, and came home for some R&R instead.  Enter a snack of granola (topped with raisins) and rice milk.  This snack is possible out and about, but it can be a little tricky in the car.  It is the perfect snack at home, though, so I took advantage of all that granola I made last night. Granola is very easy to prep; just mix a bunch of ingredients and put them on a baking sheet in the oven for an hour.  It stores nicely in the cupboard and is versatile as cereal or a topping for a multitude of dishes.  I like this Rice Milk because of it’s price point and the fact that it is unsweetened and organic.  Any milk would do, though.  I am working on a granola recipe and will have that to you soon.  I usually make granola once a week.
