Recipe: Strawberry Independence Protein Shake

A little background about this shake.  My almost 9-year-old slept in this morning and woke up feeling famished.  I made a huge batch of oatmeal using up ingredients because I am going food shopping later today.  As on most oatmeal mornings, he groaned. Today he went even further and flat-out refused to eat it.  After a bit of back and forth, I suggested he make his own breakfast.  He was overjoyed and made this shake, which we named the Strawberry Independence Shake as a tribute to his stubbornness independence.  This was just his first breakfast, but he chugged it down.  The interesting thing is that I have made numerous protein shakes similar to this, and he never “likes” them.
