Whole Food School Lunch: November 3

We are into another month of healthy eating.  Let’s make it count!  I know that personally with the holiday “season” upon us, our family forges ahead with business as usual, consuming mostly whole foods, minimally processed foods, and no sugar except for the occasional treat.  We have already had discussions with our children about how food tends to become the center for the next couple of months.  It is certainly a great thing to treat yourself (remember our 80/20 rule!), but for our family, sticking to a healthy eating plan is of the utmost importance.  So without further ado, our first November Whole Food School Lunch.  This lunch features two staples in our home that I usually make weekly on Sunday:  whole wheat bread and granola.

  • Soy yogurt sprinkled with cinnamon
  • berry kabobs (blueberry, raspberry)
  • homemade granola
  • cucumbers & carrot sticks
  • homemade whole wheat bread with honey almond butter spread
