Super Simple Snack Series: Cereal

Cereal is tricky!  Loaded with lots of sugar, preservatives and more ingredients than I care to read, along with a usually high price tag, it is a hard thing for me to justify buying.  I like to mix it up every now and then for the kids,though, so they don’t get too bored with our diet. When I do buy cereal, something like this would fit the bill for me.  I found this at Publix, and it is non-GMO, USDA Organic, gluten-free and only has 4 ingredients.  One of those ingredients is sugar, but it is a smaller amount than most cereals.  I usually have some homemade granola on hand, but every once in a while it’s good to change it up.  About 5 minutes before bedtime every night without fail, my 9-year-old wants “more dinner”, which I give him if there are leftovers.  Granola, or cereal, is a nice alternative if no aforementioned leftovers exist!  Pair it with the delicious non-dairy or dairy milk of your choice, and you have an easy filling snack!
